When I was a little girl, you could usually find me in the garden, following in the footsteps of my daddy, and regularly hovering over him at whatever project he was working on as I got older.
I grew up, life got busy, and I realized I had lost connection with one of my biggest passions in life: gardening and nature. So, I decided to start a blog to keep in touch with just that and combine my passions for both gardening and worship.
My family is my absolute heart. We moved to Texas in 2022, and my husband and son are my superheroes!
My mom came to live with us a week later. It is my honor to care for her.
Oh! And our cat – Starburst! Named for the white burst of fur on her chest. She’s always getting into something.
And guess what? I was photo dumping onto Instagram a couple of months ago, simultaneously found some old pics on Facebook, and discovered I have been sharing my gardening journey since 2011, in Philadelphia! That continued in Colorado, and now here we are.
Philadelphia pics are here.
Colorado pics are at the bottom of the Photo Gallery page.
I’m writing first and foremost, to share my heart, by sharing my excitement for gardening! Relationship is probably the most important thing to me. Writing one way is not a relationship – but I invite you to get to know me and interact by commenting when something resonates well with you!
I’m also writing to the “over-churched.” Sometimes church can be a bit much. I get that. And sometimes we need to be a little more honest with ourselves and others. In love, of course. You’ll find a little of that here and there in my posts. But over-churched should not equate to a lack of faith. Wherever you are on your journey, I encourage you to continue to pursue faith by a relationship with your Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ. And lots of his Word! You’ll find that liberally sprinkled throughout my posts as well. Hopefully, and my ultimate goal, is to give us all a little something that will encourage us and uplift our hearts to our Heavenly Father.
Life is worship, and worship is life. ❤️
And, I still desire to follow in the footsteps of my Heavenly Daddy every day.
As a worship leader with a master’s in practical theology, it is my hope that you will be inspired by the simple insights presented here. I will also make every effort to ensure that these posts are short enough for you to have time to read them!
